Clyde Frazier’s Wine and Dine

Pictured above is an installation project for ARK Restaurant Group, Clyde Frazier’s Wine and Dine (2012), located in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen.  Park  Boulevard designed and installed the back- and front-end AV systems.  The system allows each individual screen to be changed to any of five cable boxes, five DirecTV units, or three auxiliary inputs.  Each area of the impressive Morphosis-designed space is on a separate audio zone, including the regulation-size free-throw basketball half-court, 3×3 big-screen lounge, 20×1 screen bar, big-screen restaurant section, and 9×1 screen kitchen bar which also has individual listening stations.  Park Boulevard mounted small speakers in the custom ceiling that spans the length of the space for invisible, clean, clear, and powerful distributed sound.  Control of the space is handled by Web interface, and by our custom iPod Touch application, allowing for control anywhere in the space.

Shorty’s Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and Sandwiches

The fantastic guys at Shorty’s make really delicious eats, and serve many choice drinks.  We’re supporting their Philly empire by making sure they have really good sounding music in their growing number of establishments.  Our challenge in many of the locations is the make the sound and a good bar-level ambiance while keeping the transmitted sound within an acceptable range for neighbors.

Marimekko Flagship Store

Pictured below is an installation project for the flagship Marimekko store in NYC (2011) we worked on with partner Charles Morrow Productions, designers of world-class 3D audio systems and experts of sonic branding. The system provides a completely immersive experience to shoppers. Aside from the traditional model of playing back music, the system also plays custom CMP soundscapes recorded in Marimekko’s native Finland.
